Technical Support Services

The Department of Information Technologies provides software and hardware support for University-owned IT equipment used by academic and administrative staff.

If you experience any problem with your device, you must submit a request through the Technical Support Request Form available in HUBİS.

Once your request is submitted, it is evaluated according to the nature of the issue and the request queue. When necessary, support staff may contact you or inspect the device at its location.

After the required procedures are completed, you will be informed. You can track the actions taken regarding your request through the Submitted Requests section in HUBİS.

If the issue cannot be resolved on-site, you may be asked to send the device to the Department of Information Technologies.

When Sending a Device to the Department of Information Technologies

Before sending your device, please make sure to:

  • Back up any important data stored on the device.
  • Attach a note indicating the Technical Support Request tracking number.
  • Provide any required installation media and institutional information related to the device.
  • Do not share personal passwords on the device or in written form. Any required access information should only be provided through secure and authorized methods.

If the Device Is Under Warranty

If a device with a hardware failure is still under warranty, it should be referred to the authorized supplier or service provider responsible for the warranty.

Licensed Software

Within the scope of institutional licensing, the Department of Information Technologies may install the following software on University-owned computers:

  • Microsoft Windows
  • Microsoft Office
  • Institutional antivirus software
  • WinRAR
  • Java
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader and similar utility software

For new computers that will use Microsoft operating systems, an appropriate OEM Windows Professional or higher license should be obtained.
